Cards for a Cause - #1

Back in June I attended an activity with my mom where we made cards for Hospice patients. Well, that gave me an idea... I have friends who like to make cards, we have a plethora of supplies, and we all like to give back to the community.

So, I decided to host my own cardmaking night for a special cause. (This was back in August, but I'm just now posting the details and results...)

There were three of us who could actually make it, and we had a good time. (Several wanted to join us but couldn't for various reasons.) We had a Mexican themed potluck dinner before we broke out the crafty supplies and got to the cardmaking. When we finished, we had 24 cards.

The cards from this round will be given to a local Hospice center. Hopefully the nurses can use them to brighten the day of a patient or a patient's family member after the patient passes away.

Here are the darling cards!! I can't wait for the next "Cards for a Cause" night. Not sure when it will be held, but I know I will host another one again. :-)

Won't little kids just love the little animal cards on the left? (There are 4 total of that design.) And the Happy Birthday cards are sure to put a smile on someone's face. (Again, there are 4 in that design.)

These cards are so varied and so much fun! I love the colors, the fun shapes, and the variety. The nurses will have such a great selection! (There are 2 of the left design, 2 of the center design, and 4 of the right design.)

These two cards were made with new paper from the CTMH Autumn/Winter catalog. I just love how they came together. Can't get enough of that darling tree stamp on the card on the right. (There are 4 of each design.)

Here are all 24 cards. Fun, huh!?!? I'm excited for the nurses to start sending these out to their patients and the patient's family members!
